A Prediction of Violence

4 October 2024

I believe that violence will erupt amongst those tasked with counting the votes and with overseeing that counting, for the upcoming General Election. More specifically, I expect that Democrats will attempt forceably to exclude Republicans in these tasks, that Republicans will respond with counter-force, and that the mainstream of the media will present the fighting as caused by the Republicans.

I began predicting such behavior weeks ago, but I have not previously posted the prediction here.

What makes you think such things? Initially, I though the election would go to the SCOTUS, but since then I've realized that the Dem's can't afford for it to go there; so one can see how Dem's chomp at the bit for Kinetic Anger Management; but one also sees the 'publican's as being of far higher discipline, and not drawn into conflict outside the legal realm.

Also, Grabbin' Newsom does not want Kamalamunism and it's malcontents to queer the pitch for his 2028 election thrust. The Left has learned somewhat of the Maoist strategy of the Long March through the institutions; thus seem willing to wait for a more opportune moment in four years, that to self-immolate this cycle.

Of further interest is what shall become of CBS news, and it's attendant election coverage, as Larry Ellison takes control of Paramount.

Never over-estimate the level of centralization needed to effect a wide-spread behavior. Even if the Democratic leadership wanted to avoid dust-ups during the process of counting, a great many of their rank-and-file will imagine that they are doing their part in locking-out Republicans.

But, as far as the plans of the Democratic leadership are concerned, you need to imagine the Supreme Court as the ball on a field with one goal being the ink-blotting of the Constitution and the other being its restoration.

The plan of the Democrats, in 2016, was to replace Scalia, Ginsburg, Kennedy, and Breyer over the course of the next eight years with younger Justices who would view the constitution as something quite different from the Constitution. (Replacing Ginsburg and Breyer with younger Justices would represent an expected extension of their power.) Instead, Trump chose the replacements for Scalia, for Ginsburg, and for Kennedy.

If Trump is re-elected, then he will probably get the opportunity to replace Thomas, Alito, and perhaps Sotomayor. The present majority will have a longer expected life-span, and perhaps become a seven-to-two majority.

If Harris is elected, then she might be able to replace those three; if the Democrats get control of both chambers of Congress, then they might go so far as to create an eleven-to-four majority. In any case, they imagine reaching the political end-game in 2024, whereas they may be set-back by decades if she loses.

Ellison is likely to keep CBS News well to the left, even as he attempts to clean-out the anti-Semites and other anti-Zionists.
