Erotic Masterpiece
2 July 2009I got a print the other day of what I think will someday be regarded as a significant masterpiece of Twenty-First Century Erotica:

He's All Mine by Carolyn Weltman
The print that I got is giclée;[1] the original is in graphite, gesso, watercolour crayon, and nail enamel. Intermediate between simple reproductions and the original, Weltman has also embellished some giclée reproductions; these can be found at Art @ Large and at Artbreak.
Ms Weltman mailed the print, well packaged, to me on the same morning that I'd ordered it.
Weltman's work has been featured or otherwise exhibited in various museums and art shows, and anthologized in collections such as World's Greatest Erotic Art of Today v 2. She's provided illustrations for magazines articles and books, including The Mammoth Book of Kama Sutra by Maxim Jakubowski.[2]

[1] Giclée /ʒiːˈkleɪ/ reproduces an image, from digitized form, using a high-quality ink-jet printer and archival inks.
[2] I just have to hope that this book does not concern the sexual congress of furry elephants.

I have also purchased this same print from Carolyn and subsequently quite a few others...she's stunning isn't she!?
I am curious as to the other works of which you have obtained prints.
I don't believe "better late than never" could apply here, I only just discovered your reply! I just bought the original drawing to this print from Sophi aka Carolyn, and I have a large number of her prints, Sophi's rope trick, My honey...etc, and a painting of hers called Fallen Angel, she keeps tempting me with more but I'm running out of wall space. Perhaps I should start rotating them?! I must have over a dozen now.
I have been following Guy Denning as of late, a different genre but very appealing to me no less. Sophi's work dominates my walls, however.

I don't at present have prints of any of Carolyn's other works, though I keep an eye on what she's listing.
I have a pretty eclectic collection of erotica that includes a few originals by Colleen Coover, by Molly Kiely, and by less well-known artists; a fair number of bookplates; photographs by Lindsay Garrett, by Dejan Dizdar, and by others; and lots of miscellany.
I think that rotation is exactly the thing to do.
